Returns & Exchanges

Your satisfaction is our priority. Please read this policy in full before initiating a return or exchange request.

Our Promise

We stand behind every piece we make. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we are here to make it right. Our returns and exchange policy is designed to be fair, simple, and respectful of your time.

Eligibility for Returns

  • Items must be returned within 7 days of delivery.
  • Products must be unworn, unwashed, and in their original condition with all tags intact.
  • Sale items and customised pieces are not eligible for returns.
  • Items showing signs of use, perfume, stains, or damage caused by the customer cannot be accepted.
  • The customer is responsible for all shipping charges — both the return shipping to us and re-delivery charges.

Eligible for Exchange

  • Exchanges are accepted within 7 days of delivery.
  • Exchange requests are subject to availability of the replacement size/colour.
  • The customer is responsible for all shipping charges — both return and re-delivery — for exchanges.
  • Defective or incorrectly shipped items are eligible for a free exchange or full refund at our cost.

How to Initiate a Return or Exchange

Contact Us

Email us at info@shadesoflinen.com with your order number, the item(s) you wish to return/exchange, and the reason. Please include clear photos if the item is defective.

Approval

Our team will review your request and respond within 48 business hours with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and return instructions.

Ship the Item

Pack the item securely and ship it to the address provided. Please write the RMA number clearly on the package. Use a trackable courier service. Shipping charges are to be borne by the customer.

Processing

Once we receive and inspect the returned item (within 2–3 business days), we will process your exchange or refund.

Refunds

Approved refunds are processed within 3 business days after we receive the returned item. Refunds are issued to the original payment method. For Cash on Delivery orders, refunds are processed via NEFT/UPI bank transfer — please provide your bank details when contacting us. Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

Defective or Wrong Items

If you receive a defective, damaged, or incorrect item, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs. We will arrange a free pick-up and send a replacement or process a full refund — whichever you prefer.

Non-Returnable Items

  • Items marked as Final Sale or heavily discounted pieces (above 40% off).
  • Customised or made-to-measure garments.
  • Accessories, jewellery, and footwear (for hygiene reasons).
  • Gift cards.

Cancellations

Orders can be cancelled within 6 hours of placing them, provided they have not yet been dispatched. After 6 hours, cancellation is not guaranteed. To cancel, please contact us immediately via email or WhatsApp with your order number.
